Born and raised in the greater Seattle area, Marit graduated from Bastyr University’s School of Naturopathic Medicine and was trained as a primary care physician with an emphasis in physical medicine, dermatology, minor surgical procedures, IV therapy, and craniosacral therapy. She has completed almost 400 hours of precepting through various clinical settings including in a rural clinic in Nicaragua, a hospital in Nepal, a small clinic in Maine, private practices locally, as well as volunteering with a non-profit serving Seattle’s low-income and Tent City populations.
Through her most recent clinical training, she worked with a patient population that had a variety of chronic health issues including; Lyme and its co-infections, viruses, mold and toxin exposures, and GI problems. Marit also learned a number of injection techniques such as neural therapy, ozone, and trigger point.
Marit is very excited to be a part of the team at Holistique where she will have the opportunity to work alongside some great doctors with an array of modalities to learn or hone her skills on.
When she is not in the office, you can find her tending to her organic garden, hitting a bucket of balls at the driving range, traveling, biking, hiking/snowshoeing through the hills of the PNW, or diving the depths of the ocean.
